Say welcome back to my webpage and blog!

As AI has reshaped software development (and almost everything else), I saw an opportunity to bring back my old webpage and blog, with its help. As you may remember, I’m not exactly as skilled as I used to be, due to my cognitive sequelae. Anyway, I’ve realized that I can still do some things thanks to AI, so I have recovered all my old posts and rebuilt the entire blog using Astro, Tailwind CSS with some (or a lot of) help from GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.

A lot has happened since the last time I wrote here, so let me catch you up on a few things: in 2022 I tried to return to work at my company, but my cognitive sequelae made it impossible to do my job properly. I challenged the decision that had declared me fit for work, and after losing in the first court, an appeals court ruled in my favor six months later, recognizing my permanent incapacity to perform my previous job (which is called total permanent incapacity). I also was officially recognized with a 49% of physical and cognitive disability. I attempted a second return to work, but eventually left Telefónica in February 2026.

The next stage is a new legal case against the Social Security, which will take place next September. What I’m seeking is the absolute permanent incapacity, which means that I cannot perform any kind of job (and, obviously, has a higher pension than the total permanent incapacity).

Ah! And, last but not least (in fact, it’s the most important thing of all), Blanca and I had a baby girl in 2022 (in fact, she’s already 3, so she’s not a baby anymore -or, at least, that’s what we tell her-). Having children is another challenge for all of us who suffer from ABI. I can forget feeding her or a promise I told her, among a lot of other things. In addition, I assume I’m not as able as before to teach someone to be a person. Since we knew there was a baby on the way, I write letters to her. They’re meant to be personal, but it’s possible that someday I could publish them, because they cover a lot of aspects of life common to every parent.
